About

My Life Journey

My marriage of 15 years ended abruptly 13 years ago.  Through the adversities I worked hard to be an overcomer rather than a victim.  This was not a good breakup.  The kids rarely saw their father and child support was nonexistent.

Today...I have completed a bachelor's degree in business, teach high school, and am a published author.

I picked up a lot of tools along the way and have shared them in class and with my children.

My daughter is 25 years old...she has completed her bachelor's degree.  Her credit score is in the high 700's.  She has a car that she is maintaining and paid off.  She is now working on paying off her student loans.

Was this a smooth path with no issues?  No.  She has struggled with depression, suicide, and being a victim.  It wasn't an easy life as a teenager.

    What was the deciding factor?

1.  She decided NOT to be a victim.

2.  She decided to use the 'tools' that I have given her along the way.

This is what I'm using in my highschool classroom.  I'm doing what I can to equip high schoolers with the knowledge and determination to be an overcomer in their own lives...to figure out what he/she wants...to figure out the obstacles...to make a conscious step by step plan...
